About
Fluorescent & LED Grow Light Bulbs
|
 What
are the differences in tubular fluorescent bulbs? Size and efficiency. The letter
'T' indicates the shape of the bulb (tubular) and the number after the
'T' represents the diameter of the bulb in eighths of an inch (A T5 bulb
is 5/8 inch). The T12 fluorescent bulb is the oldest and most common of the tubular
bulbs. It is also the least efficient. Then came the T8 fluorescent bulb which
will fit the same fixture as the T12 but uses roughly 20% less wattage to produce
the same amount of light. The newer T5 bulb will NOT work in T12 and T8
bulb fixtures because it is shorter and has a different pin arrangement. T5 bulbs
offer even greater efficiency and a high output version (HO) which produces about
twice the amount of light as the standard T5 bulb. T5 bulbs
are now available in LED which offers even greater efficiency and longer life.
All of the tubular lights that we offer below are the high output T5 version. |

T5 High Output Grow Lights

light system utilizes high output T5 fluorescent light bulbs and a highly reflective
hood to provide an excellent light source for growing plants. System includes:
Sun Blaze fixture (includes on/off switch and 12' grounded power cord), your choice
of T5 fluorescent or LED bulbs, and cable hangers. Requires standard 110/120 volt
outlet.

Jump Start Grow Strip with Reflector
These lights
have a reflector which focuses the light directly where you need it eliminating
wasted lumens and supplying up to 3 times more light to your plants versus
using a fixture without a reflector. Fixtures come with a 6400K T5 fluorescent
bulb, reflector, 6' 110/120 volt power cord with on/off switch, & mounting
hardware.
